Krapyak stage is building a nearly 250-year-old known as the hunting ground of the kings of Yogyakarta Sultanate. Standing in the region formerly known as Forest Krapyak, where Panembahan Senopati son died.Krapyak stage, Kings Place of Hunting.
Once Krapyak region, which now sits in the south of Yogyakarta Palace, formerly a dense forest. Various species of wild animals found here, one deer or a deer in a language called Java. Not surprisingly, this region was widely used as a hunting ground by the Kings of Mataram.
Raden Mas Hanyokrowati Jolang the title of King, the second king of the Kingdom of Mataram Islam and son Panembahan Senopati, is one of the kings who utilize Krapyak Forest as a place to hunt. In 1613, he had an accident in the hunting and eventually died here. He was buried in the town and given the title Panembahan Krapyak Seda (meaning the king who died in the Forest Krapyak).
Another king who liked to hunt in the Forest Krapyak is Mangkubumi Prince (Sultan lane I). He was the one who established the Stage Krapyak more than 140 years after the death of King Hanyokrowati in this forest. Krapyak stage of history is an indication that the region Krapyak once used as hunting areas. If interested, you can come with a drive to the south of the South Square, past Plengkung Ivory and DI Panjaitan Road. Krapyak stage will be found after driving about 3 miles, located right in the middle of the road.
Building Stage Krapyak rectangular area of 17.6 mx 15 m. The walls are made of red brick covered with cement cast and drawn upward as high as 10 m. Wall sections now appear black, showing the age of nearly equal age of the city of Yogyakarta, a quarter millennium. The building still looks solid, although some parts were damaged by the earthquake last May 27, 2006.
Stage architecture is quite unique. Each side of the building has a door and two windows. Doors and windows it is only a hole, with no cover. The bottom of the doors and windows topped rectangular but curved, like the design of doors and windows in the mosque-masijd.
The building stage is divided into two floors. The first floor has 4 rooms and a short hallway that connects the door of each side. If the sun shines brighter, the light will penetrate into the first floor of the building through the doors and windows. If to one room in the southeast and southwest of the building and looked up, you can see a hole wide enough.
